A very big thank you to those of you who visit our site and keep an active interest in the rhino poaching tragedy. Our rhinos are in very deep trouble, the poaching threat is ever-evolving and increasingly sinister while the challenges and dangers mount against rhino reserves and their brave rangers. Irrespective of how hard this gets we are committed for the long haul, and for our rhinos sake we’re counting on you too……

StopRhinoPoaching.com has been very fortunate, in that we have incredible, like-minded individuals and companies who are dedicated to making a difference to the rhino cause.

StopRhinoPoaching.com does not save rhinos lives  - in our view, we are merely the channel to get your support to the right role-players and its THEM (with your help) who save rhinos lives. Without the dedicated rangers, reserve managers, security personnel and various law enforcement agencies who are working flat out and do their best, we would most certainly have lost HUNDREDS more rhinos. StopRhinoPoaching.com is making a difference, because the guys we work with on the ground sincerely appreciate our support and its them who are on the frontlines.

We are inundated daily with e-mails from people and companies wanting to help. While we appreciate your determination, please note that despite all that you see on the website we are a very small NGO and managed and run by Elise Daffue. In between managing projects and fund placement, trips to reserves and numerous meetings she just doesn't get to everyone. Also, with respect, StopRhinoPoaching.com is very selective in who they partner with. It's not about the money, it's about doing the right thing, with the right people, for the right reserves.

Here are some common questions:

We have a company and want to donate proceeds from one/some of our products. Please send us an email, giving us a brief background on your company and product and how you would like to get involved.

We want to donate funding - how much comes off the top for administration/operational costs? SRP covers some travel costs, covered by anon donations made to through the website. That's it!

How do you place funds? StopRhinoPoaching.com, through Elise, is well placed through her 13 years' experience in the wildlife industry. As a trusted and well known person she has been able to establish projects with private, provincial and national reserves. All projects need to meet SRP.com's qualifying criteria, our various decision makers are consulted for approval and once projects are complete there are follow up visits to look at effectiveness. Rather than spreading our resources far too thinly and helping numerous areas, we prefer to concentrate our efforts on specially selected reserves and build their capacity where needed.

I don't have funding but would like to volunteer... Thank you, truly, but due to the complexities of the crisis and because most of our projects are security focused, SRP.com will remain a small NGO. There are no plans to expand. If the work load becomes too much we happily refer people to other rhino groups or colleagues.

I don't just want to give a cheque.... SRP.com encourages personal involvement and as often as possible we'll introduce company donors and recipient reserves. As rhino poaching is a very emotional topic, and because raising funds can be hard work, it's important to us that projects are personal and that you get to meet the people you're helping.

We have had the most fantastic support from people from all walks of life. If you want to get involved but aren't sure how, look within your circle of influence! There is always a way to make a difference!
